Radio Caroline Top 40 album chart
April 1974

In March 1974 Radio Caroline introduced an album chart. Andy Archer kindly provided this chart. We thought it was the first but an earlier recording has since surfaced (see here) so maybe this was the second. Can anyone confirm if it was - and on what date it was broadcast?

* Andy listed number 37 as Let Me In Your Life by Linda Lewis but we have been unable to find a Linda Lewis LP of that name. Her 1973 release Fathoms Deep was on the previous chart. Aretha Franklin had an album called Let Me In Your Life. Could he have got the two confused?

Our thanks to Andy.

The links from the songs on this page lead to the Amazon MP3 Store where you can hear short audio clips of the tracks and customers in the UK can buy downloads. Please see this note.

There are a number of other offshore charts listed on The Pirate Radio Hall of Fame. Full details here.

The previous album Top 40 is here. The next we have is an incomplete one from October 1974.
