The first North American Pirate Radio Reunion,
19th and 20th July 2004

Radio Caroline's Mick Luvzit had the initial idea for a pirate DJs reunion in Vancouver. As the plan took shape and the event grew in size, he turned to fellow Canadian Caroline man Steve Young for help with the organisation. The two of them put together a fantastic two days of events including a sunset cruise around Vancouver waters, a pub party on the waterfront and a breakfast gathering the following morning, as well as sightseeing tours of the city. Presenters from Radios Caroline, City, Scotland, City, London and Atlanta were represented with guests flying in from as far away as Australia and Britain. As well as the disc-jockeys Mary Payne from the Radio London website and Kenny Tosh from Belfast's Citybeat radio station were also there. Mary's report is on her site. Kenny, who has featured many of the DJs on his popular Revival Show programmes, very kindly offered to cover the event for The Pirate Radio Hall of Fame. These are his photos:
