The fans' memorabilia - Rob Olthof

The mv Mi Amigo, February 1966

After the Mi Amigo lost her anchor and went aground in January 1966, the ship was taken to Zaandam in the Netherlands for repairs and a thorough overhaul. On 6th February Rob Olthof travelled by train from his home in Amsterdam to Zaandam, where he took photos of the radio ship in the harbour. Sadly Rob died in September 2013. His estate included these unique photographs and they have been generously passed to The Pirate Radio Hall of Fame by Rob's friend of 48 years, Hans Knot. We are very grateful.
