Radio Caroline's proposed programme format, 1964.

In July 1964, shortly after the merger between Radios Caroline and Atlanta, Caroline's Programme Director Christopher Moore issued a document instructing the disc-jockeys on what sort of music to play when.
 
In theory Christopher was now in charge of programming for both ships but Caroline South was still owned and operated by the former Radio Atlanta team who, as far as The Pirate Radio Hall of Fame can ascertain, took little notice of his policy document. As Tom Lodge recalls, over the page, it was not strictly adhered to on Caroline North either.
 
The cover is below but, as can be seen, the carbon-copied print has become smudged and blurred with the passage of time. The rest of the document did not scan well - it was barely legible - so we have transcribed the contents. To read it, click on the cover below.
