* There had been two different tracks by The Fortunes moving up the City Sixty over the previous weeks. On this chart they came together to share the number 17 slot. They were the two sides of the same single, Decca F12429, and neither song was a hit in the national sales chart.

** This track is listed as being called “When The Sun Comes Out” on the City Sixty for a couple of weeks, is then listed under the title “The Weatherman” for five weeks before reverting to the original title for its final week on the chart. Correspondent Kees Brinkerink confirms that “When The Sun Comes Out” is the correct title but mentions that the song lyrics begin “The weatherman...” Our thanks to Kees.

Our thanks to Brian Long.

The Radio London ‘Fab 40’ and Caroline South ‘Countdown Of Sound’ for this week can be found on the Radio London website.

The links from the songs on this page lead to the Amazon MP3 Store where you can hear short audio clips of the tracks and customers in the UK can buy downloads. Please see this note.

There are a number of other offshore charts listed on The Pirate Radio Hall of Fame. Full details here.

Next week's chart is here.
