The City Sixty, 1st - 7th January 1966

As before, the original document only lists the song titles, not the artists. We have attempted to fill in the gaps but, in some cases, have had to make an educated guess about which track is being referred to. If you spot any errors, please get in touch.

The previous chart was due to remain in force until 2nd January but this one is dated to start from the 1st.

* Incorrect figure given for last week's position.

** Last week's chart showed “Heide” by Horst Jankowski at number 60 but there may have been a last-minute change of mind because, according to this week's chart, last week's number 60 was “Music Talk”.

*** Can anyone remember which version of “Take Me For A Little While” was played on Radio City? Radio London playlisted two versions, by Stevie Lewis and The Koobas, Caroline South just went with the latter. There was also one out by Johnny Gustafson.

Our thanks to Brian Long.

The Radio London ‘Fab 40’ and Caroline South ‘Countdown’ for this week can be found on the Radio London website.

The links from the songs on this page lead to the Amazon MP3 Store where you can hear short audio clips of the tracks and customers in the UK can buy downloads. Please see this note.

There are a number of other offshore charts listed on The Pirate Radio Hall of Fame. Full details here.

Next week's City Sixty is here.
