On the 1st of January 1977 Radio Caroline broadcast an all-time Top 100 album chart, produced in conjunction with Wavelength magazine. The chart positions published in the magazine and on the poster (courtesy of A look back at Radio Caroline 1976-80) differ slightly from those heard on air. As can be heard in the clip below, there were some tied positions in the broadcast version.

Unlike the chart broadcast a few months earlier, this one involved a listeners/readers' vote. The first sign of punk making itself heard on the Caroline airwaves can be seen with Patti Smith's debut album making an appearance at number 85.
